Mar 16, 2024 | All News, Match Guide

The Invermen are in action this afternoon as we take on Glenavon in our final pre-split home fixture in the Sports Direct Premiership.

Kick-off is 3pm and you can find out all of the key information below.

TICKET INFORMATION

Tickets for today’s game are still available to purchase online here.

Ticket will also be available from our Club Superstore from 2pm for those who wish to purchase at the stadium. Prices are set at £13 for adults, £9 for concessions and £2 for those of Primary School age.

Away supporters will be situated in the P&O Ferries and Larne Port McKay Stand for the match. A cash gate will also be available to those in this area.

ST PATRICK’S DAY THEME

With today’s game being the day before St Patrick’s Day, we are running a St Patrick’s Day matchday experience this afternoon.

At 1.45pm, Antrim Coast Dance Academy will be entertaining those who arrive early with a live performance in the main carpark at Inver Park before taking to the pitch at half-time in the match to entertain those within the stands with traditional Irish dancing.

Kids entertainment will also be available in the main carpark from 1.45pm with the ever-popula Teqball tables and the inflatable penalty shoot-out challenge. Tomorrow will also see the launch of our ‘kids corner’ in 1889 Sports & Social Club after recent supporter feedback. You will be able to enjoy a drink while your child joins us for some pre-match fun which will include face painting, sign making for your favourite player, gaming station, free sweet bags and photo opportunities with first-team players.

After the action has come to an end on the pitch, 1889 Sports & Social Club will be the place to be for the post-match entertainment. From 4.45pm, we will be showing Ireland’s final Six Nations fixture against Scotland live on the screens, with 15% off all drinks for the duration of the game.

Popular Belfast duo Luke O’Loan and David Walker will then be performing live from 7.30pm, giving you the full matchday experience to celebrate St Patrick’s Day in a red and white fashion!

CAR PARKING

Supporters are to be aware that due to limited spaces, the car park within Inver Park will not be open to supporters attending the game.

For those driving to the game, parking facilities are available in nearby areas including First Larne Presbyterian Church, Laharna Retail Park and Riverdale, all of which are just a short walk to the stadium.

We would also like to remind supporters to be mindful and aware of residents who live just outside the stadium and to not block access to private properties when parking your car within this area.

CLUB SUPERSTORE

Our recently renovated Club Superstore will be open before tomorrow’s game from 2pm and is located within the main carpark in the stadium.

Many of our most loved items from the Christmas period are now back in stock, alongside all of our official Nike 23/24 season merchandise and 1889 causal wear range, guaranteeing that there is something to suit every supporters taste!

THE INVER REDS

Tiernan Lynch’s side find themselves top of the Sports Direct Premiership standings ahead of today’s game, with a two point advantage over second-placed Linfield.

The Invermen are unbeaten in the league since September and are yet to concede a league goal in 2024, highlighting the great run of form that the Inver Reds are currently on.

After a goalless draw away to Coleraine last weekend, the Inver Reds will be aiming to get back on the scoresheet this afternoon to secure all three points as the split edges ever closer.

THE OPPOSITION

Glenavon arrive at Inver Park this afternoon full of confidence after an emphatic 4-0 victory over Dungannon Swifts last weekend.

Stephen McDonnell’s side know that they will require all three points to keep their outside chance of reaching the top six in the table, with Coleraine, Loughgall, Carrick Rangers and Glenavon themselves all in a race for that 6th position.

The Lurgan Blues will be looking to improve on their last visit to Inver Park, with Larne running out 5-0 winners back in February.
