On behalf of myself and the entire ownership group, I want to say how proud we are as we conclude our European campaign. I also want to thank the fans for all of their support this summer. We had tremendous traveling support to some amazing locations. The disappointment has taken a few days to sink in. We finished with 3 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses. We were so close. Everyone knows it. But we should be proud of everything that we’ve accomplished to date. We won the league last season after most didn’t expect us to win. Then we competed against some great European opponents and walked away with coefficient points for Northern Ireland and for ourselves. We were able to host 4 European matches at Inver Park after the team and contractors hurried to install a new pitch so that we could enjoy football at home against a former UCL Champion. There was a lot of hard work that was put in both on and off the pitch to get us to where we are today. The players and coaching staff had a tight turnaround after the finish of our league campaign. And our administrative staff and volunteers move quickly to put on several good events for us to watch at home and help the players perform their best away. I am deeply proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but this is not the end.
Tonight we turn towards the ToalsBet County Antrim Senior Shield and then on Friday we turn our attention back to the League. It should be another thrilling season that will almost certainly be filled with lots of emotion.
