About the Role
At Larne FC we are building a team of support staff and a structure that supports and complements our success on the pitch. We currently require a qualified Physiotherapist to Lead the Physiotherapy department of our Professional Development Phase and to assist and support our First Team Physiotherapist.
What we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist with a sports background who should have:-
• Degree in Physiotherapy/Sports Therapy or equivalent.
• Experience of working in sporting environment and familiar with evaluating and treating sports related injuries.
• Excellent organisational, communication and motivational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• High standards of professionalism, with excellent time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The role involves the following key responsibilities:-
• Attending 1st Team/Scholarship Training/matches
• Assessment & diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions
• Provision of appropriate treatment and rehabilitation strategies
• Provision of pre-training/match management of Players including soft tissue therapy and taping/strapping
• Design & deliver individual/squad injury prevention programmes based on screening and past medical history.
• Provide pitch side First–Aid cover
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to optimise Player performance and availability
• Medical examination and screening of new Players
• Design and implement strategies to maximise on-field performance from a medical perspective
• Reporting of all injuries to the relevant communication pathways
• Complete concise and confidential medical records for all injured Players
• Complete regular CPD sessions
