We are delighted to announce improvements have been made to Inver Park, making it more accessible than ever for fans with a physical disability.
Work has been carried out on the access to, and the main area for, disabled fans at the back of the Landmark Main Stand.
The work has been made possible thanks to Sport NI’s Capital Projects Team and our Disability Officer, Claire Taggart.
With fans set to return to the final two Danske Bank Premiership games, against Glentoran and Coleraine, the timing couldn’t be better.
General Manager at the club, Niall Curneen, said: “A new path has been created throughout the fan zone to enable easier access to the area where wheelchair users can enjoy the match.
“A new section specifically dedicated to wheelchair users is also being created at the Church End, and this will increase our overall accessibility at Inver Park.
“Working alongside Claire, we are striving to make Inver Park a fully inclusive environment, for everyone to enjoy.”
Disability Access Officer Claire, echoed those sentiments and is delighted with the changes made.
She added: “It’s great to see these changes made at Inver Park.
“The ground has undergone a transformation over the last three years and it is very encouraging to see the club intent on making it as accessible as possible for everyone in the community.
“We’re all looking forward to the return of fans to the ground and I’m excited to see them in full use in the coming weeks.”
