We are very pleased to announce the signing of English striker Montel Gibson.
Montel, who began his career a decade ago at Notts County, arrives following a successful spell at Hednesford Town having helped the club to promotion to the National League North, having netted 12 goals.
The Birmingham-born 28-year-old also counts Grimsby Town among his former clubs and enjoyed the most fruitful goalscoring season of his career with Matlock Town in the 2024/25 campaign, finding the net 24 times.
He has now put pen to paper with the Invermen ahead of Saturday’s pre-season opener away to Stranraer on Saturday.
Welcoming Montel to the club, boss Gary Haveron said:
“We’re excited to bring Montel to the club and we’re really looking forward to him getting settled into the group fully over the next few days and weeks.
“He comes here having done really well at a good level in England over the last few seasons especially and he is hungry to get going in a Larne shirt.
“He is a goalscorer and someone who can add to the firepower at the club, which is always important as players push each other for those starting positions.
“We are looking forward to seeing what he can produce for us this season and it’s great to get him in so early in pre-season as we prepare for Europe and the season ahead.”
