This Sunday (8th October), we are delighted to be joining Greenisland FC and Shankill Juniors for a ‘partnership games morning’ which will feature teams from our 2017 and 2018 age groups.

The event, which will be held at Greenisland FC, will showcase all the talent from the partnered clubs in the 2015-2018 age groups.

The club announced a partnership with Greenisland FC over the summer and this is the first event of its kind, which will help to grow the relationships between the clubs and bring the academies closer together.

No scores will be recorded and published with the main objective of the morning to allow those in attendance to play football and have fun while doing so.

Speaking about the event, Head of Youth Development Phase Jeff Hughes said:

“It’s a great initiative and a great opportunity for all the partnered clubs to get together and allow the kids to play football.

“This will be the first type of event between the clubs and it gives us the chance at this early stage to grow the relationships and give the kids of all of the clubs the best chance to flourish and enjoy their football which is always the main objective.”

Head of Football at Greenisland FC, Marc Gamble added:

“The partnerships we have at the club are important to us and we always want to try and showcase that as much as we can.

“Events like this allow us to give our kids in the academy the chance to have fun and play football, and the fact that we can do that with our partnered clubs gives us the best chance to grow as a club and develop relationships that can only get stronger as time goes on.”
