We are pleased to announce the signing of 18-year-old defender Logan Wallace on a permanent transfer from Cliftonville.
Upon arriving at the club, the central defender has put pen to paper on a professional contract with the Inver Reds and will train full-time alongside enrolling in our Foundation Degree at Ulster University Jordanstown.
The Newtownabbey native, who enjoyed a period of his development with partner club Greenisland FC, has captained Cliftonville and both U18 and U20 development levels.
Having enjoyed a successful year on the pitch in 2023, Wallace received international recognition when he was selected to be part of the Northern Ireland Schoolboys squad for the U18 Centenary Shield.
During the competition, the defender was featured regularly and was named as captain against the Republic of Ireland in Belfast. At club level, Wallace played a key role in Cliftonville U18s run to the Harry Cavan Youth Cup final before losing narrowly to Ballinamallard United at Windsor Park.
Commenting on the transfer, Wallace said:
“I’m delighted to have made the move to Larne and to have signed my first professional contract. This contract is something which I have worked towards for a long time now, and it feels great get a small reward for all my hard work and sacrifice to date.
“Now that I have reached the milestone of getting a pro deal, I intend to work even harder than before to fulfil my potential and I think Larne have everything here at the Larne Academy of Sport and Inver Park to help me achieve this.
“The club’s facilities are first class and the coaching staff across all levels are really dedicated and knowledgeable, so I intend on taking as much in as possible and making the most of the opportunity to do what I love every single day.”
