Two Supporter Liaison Officers To Be Appointed

Feb 13, 2019 | Archive

LARNE FOOTBALL CLUB prides itself on being a close knit family club, but that family has got much bigger over the last 18 months.

Larne Football Club is your club and we want to make sure that each and every supporter feels valued and part of the club. To help us to do just that, we are seeking to appoint two Supporter Liaison Officers, one of which will be a Young Supporter Liaison Officer.

This will be a voluntary role where the newly appointed Officers will act as an independent go-between with the Board and our support base. The Supporters Liaison Officers will be in place as a voice from the terraces to raise and address any concerns supporters may have about all aspects of the running of the club.

We are also looking for a Young Supporter Liaison Officer. We are mindful that we have a large group of supporters aged 16-21 who give the team fantastic support. They are the club’s future and we want to give them the chance to help shape that future. The Young Supporter Liaison Officer will work alongside the Supporter Liaison Officer.

Of course, the Board of Larne Football Club are all supporters too and each Board Member will always be available, friendly and approachable but the appointment of our Supporter Liaison Officers will help to improve communication between the terraces and the Board Room.

We are welcoming applications for the roles. All that we ask is that you have a passion for the Inver Reds and you are motivated to help your fellow supporters. We would envisage that the Young Supporter Liaison Officer would be aged between 16 and 21.

If you would like to apply, email gavinclements@larnefc.com with your contact details. There will be an informal selection process and we hope to have our new Supporter Liaison Officers on board in the coming weeks.

The closing date for applications is Friday 22 February.
