Trio to depart Inver Park

We can confirm three players have left the club to pursue options elsewhere.

Midfielders Andy Mitchell and Max Hutchison will depart the playing staff this summer, while goalkeeper Jamie Pardington is also moving on.

Andy is the longest-serving player to leave, having joined the club in the January 2020 transfer window from Linfield.

He went on to help the club clinch their first piece of silverware in 33 years with the County Antrim Shield victory in December 2020, before securing European football for the first time in our history at the end of the 2020/21 season.

Having moved to a full-time position at club’s Scholarship programme, Andy spent last season on loan at Carrick Rangers. The former Rangers and Crusaders man will remain at the club in a coaching capacity, while playing on a part-time basis elsewhere.

Following a spell with Waterford United in the League of Ireland, Max Hutchison arrived at the club last summer.

He was part of the squad which brought the Gibson Cup back to Inver Park for the first time in Larne’s history, alongside claiming the County Antrim Shield for the third time in a row.

Jamie Pardington, meanwhile, enjoyed a short stint at the club having arrived from Grimsby Town in January.

The Englishman made his debut on the final day of the season, away to Coleraine.

Manager Tiernan Lynch said: “All three lads move on with our very best wishes.

“Andy is continuing in his coaching career at the club, which we’re very pleased about, having seen him make a big impact last season.

“Max is a great young player and he is going in search of regular first team football, which he needs at this stage of his career. We certainly wouldn’t rule out a return to the club at some point in the future.

“Jamie is another lad who has been great to work with. He really pushed Rohan Ferguson all the way since his arrival and played a big part in the impressive period we had since he joined us.”
