Shield semi-final spot booked

Larne are through to the semi-finals of the County Antrim Shield after a 3-0 win away to Ballymacash Rangers.

The home side were reduced to 10-men early on, when Killian McCandless saw red for a fould on Tomas Cosgrove.

It was Larne skipper who opened the scoring on 30 minutes, as the Invermen took control.

Cormac Austin, on his debut for the club, added a second on 78 minutes thanks to a fantastic left-footed strike from outside the box.

The scoring was complete in the final minute, as Conor McKendry found the bottom corner of the goal from 20 yards.

Larne will now travel to Carrick Rangers on Wednesday 12th November for a place in the final.
