GOALS early and late in the second half warned Larne a 2-0 win at home to Cliftonville on Friday night.

A well-worked move down the left flank saw Dylan Sloan force an own goal from Luke Conlan 40 seconds after the break, while Sloan was on hand to sweep home Aaron Donnelly’s strong run and finish 12 minutes from time to help wrap up the victory.

The first half saw Levi Ives crash an effort off the post while Ryan Curran had a header ruled out for offside, much to the frustration of the visitors.

The two sides meet again at Inver Park on Tuesday evening for a place in this season’s BetMcLean final.
