On Thursday 25th May, we held our annual Scholarship Awards dinner at the Curran Court Hotel.
Attended by both the first and second-year student athletes, along with the coaches, tutors and other Scholarship staff, it proved to be a great occasion to celebrate another great year for the programme that runs in partnership with the Steven Gerrard Academy.
First team manager Tiernan Lynch was also in attendance as he gave out the awards to the winners during the ceremony.
The award winners were as follows:
- 1st year U18 National League Player of the Year – Ciaran McDowell
- 2nd year U18 National League Player of the Year – Glenn Crooks
- 1st year U18 NIFL Player of the Year – Jude O’Hara
- 2nd year U18 NIFL Player of the Year – Kye Livingstone
- 1st year U20 NIFL Player of the Year – Jack Hastings
- 2nd year U20 NIFL Player of the Year – Ethan Simpson
- U18 Players’ Player of the Year – Bryce Gray
- U20 Players’ Player of the Year – Harrison Knight
- Academic Achievement – Jake Murphy
- Academic Endeavours – Josh Millar
Congratulations to all of the above award winners and we look forward to A-Level results day in August to see the achievements of our second-year students.
With the season having now come to an end for all of our squads, our student athletes look forward to a two week pre-season trip to the Steven Gerrard Academy base in Alicante, Spain.
