ANDY Ryan was on hand to earn a vital point with a stoppage time goal in Tuesday’s action-packed 2-2 draw with Glentoran at Inver Park.

Paul O’Neill gave Larne the lead on 17 minutes, converting from the penalty spot after he had been brought down by Glentoran defender Andrew Mills.

However, the two sides went into the break level when Pat Hoban deflected Marcus Kane’s strike on 43 minutes, to wrongfoot Rohan Ferguson.

The game was then turned on his head when Hoban was on hand to apply a controlled finish from James Singleton’s left wing cross, four mintues into the second half.

Hoban was in the thick of the action 16 minutes from time when he was shown a red card for an off-the-ball incident with Andy Ryan.

Singleton hit the post for the visitors, while Larne had a penalty appeal turned down before the decisive action arrived in stoppage time. With 93 minutes on the clock Michael Kamara was penalised for handball and after Andy Ryan saw his spot kick saved, he was on hand to fire home the rebound to earn a point.
