ANDY Ryan’s first half double was enough to earn Larne a 2-1 victory at home to Bangor on Friday night.
The Scottish striker broke the deadlock on 19 minutes, sweeping home Aaron Donnelly’s pinpoint through ball and he doubled the lead eight minutes before the break when he headed in from Tomas Cosgrove’s cross on the right wing.
Ryan hit the post and Leroy Millar brought a fine save out of Gareth Deane in a dominant first half display.
However, Bangor got themselves back into the contest six minutes into the second half thanks to Ben Cushnie’s well-placed finish.
The Seasiders were reduced to 10 men when Lewis Harrison picked up a second yellow card a minute before the hour mark, as Larne saw out the win to maintain their lead at the top of the table.
