We are delighted to announce Andy Ryan and Lee Bonis have both signed new three-year contracts to remain at Inver Park until 2026.
The news comes as a huge boost with the club heading into its first UEFA Champions League campaign, kicking off with Wednesday’s trip to take on HJK Helsinki. The contract extensions come for two players who have made huge contributions to the club in recent months.
Andy Ryan arrived at Inver Park from Hamilton Accademical in January, playing a significant role in helping Tiernan Lynch’s side to clinch a first-ever Premiership title in April.
Lee Bonis’ form for the club, where he has been for the last 18 months, was rewarded when he was called up to the senior Northern Ireland squad for the first time in June’s European qualifiers, after finishing as the club’s top goalscorer in last year’s historic campaign.
Both have now signalled their intent to continue making memories for the Inver Reds, as the club go into the defence of the Premiership title in the year ahead.
Larne boss Tiernan Lynch said: “We are delighted to see both players commit their futures to the club.
“As a club, the transfer window give us the opportunity to strengthen our squad as we bring new players in, which we’ve done and will continue to do where possible. However, it also gives us a chance to take stock with players already at the club.
“Andy and Lee have been in fantastic form and we were keen to sit down them this summer to see if they were open to extend their time at the club.
“Both players have really enjoyed their time here and it was a very straight forward conversation which led to them both putting pen to paper, either side of the weekend.
“At different stages, we have seen speculation around the future of both players and these new contracts gives both them and the club stability to know where they will be playing their football next season.
“Overall, this a great boost for everyone going into our first Champions League campaign.”
