We are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Rohan Ferguson, following his departure from Queen of the South.
The 23-year-old began his professional career at Motherwell in 2017, where he was given his debut by former Northern Ireland international Stephen Robinson.
During his three year stint at Fir Park, Ferguson enjoyed a season-long loan spell at Linfield in the 2019/20 campaign, winning a Danske Bank Premiership winners’ medal in the process.
Following the expiry of his loan, Ferguson left ‘Well, signing for Championship side Queen of the South last summer. He made 24 appearances in total for the Dumfries side, as they pushed for the play-offs.
He now returns to Irish League football, with Tiernan Lynch moving quickly to snap up the highly-rated goalkeeper.
Rohan is delighted to make the switch to Inver Park. He said: “I spoke to the manager a few weeks back and I had a few other options when I was leaving Queen of the South, but once I spoke to Tiernan I was happy to come here.
“I enjoyed my time in the Irish League, was fortunate enough to win a league winners medal and played against Larne a few times.
“I saw where the club was going, it’s going in the right direction, and that’s something I really want to be a part of.
“When you play against Larne you realise they like to play football the right away. I also played with Andy Mitchell at Linfield and spoke to him, he told me it’s a club like no other, things are done properly and I’m just excited to be a part of that.”
Rohan will wear the number 34 shirt at Inver Park, and will be available for selection ahead of the Europa Conference League first qualifying round next month.
