Rachel Dennison joins the Inver Women

We are delighted to announce the signing of Rachel Dennison, who joins Larne FC Women from NIWFA Championship side St James’ Swifts.

Having begun her youth career at Carniny AYFC, before making the switch to Glentoran’s Development Squad and most recently played for St James’ Swifts, helping them win the league title in 2025 – she was named as the Swifts’ ‘Breakthrough Player of the Year’ at their 2025 Awards Ceremony.

Rachel becomes the third player this month to make the move from Belfast to Larne, following Chloe Tully and Chloe Doak signing earlier in the month. As the Inver Women’s squad continues to grow stronger, the team look ahead to the 2026 Sports Direct Women’s Premiership season.

Manager Matthew Crawford welcomed the signing:

“I am pleased to welcome Rachel to the club. Rachel comes to the club with a positive attitude to challenge herself and continue her career development with us.

“Rachel has shown good qualities in training that we feel can be important for us developing as a team. I am eager to see her apply these qualities in the team across the games we have coming up.

“I look forward to working with Rachel supporting her in her development with her decision-making alongside her technical, tactical and physical attributes across the season ahead.”

On signing for the club Rachel said:

“I am very excited to sign for Larne, the set up and professionalism around the club is amazing. It’s a great environment and a great group of players and coaches.

“Coming from a strong team in the championship I can’t wait to get started and push myself and develop even further. I’m really looking forward to the season ahead.”
