PROTEC recovery joins as club partners

We a delighted to announce a new partnership with PROTEC Recovery, a local recovery and wellness technology brand, until the end of the current 2022/23 season.

In the modern game, recovery is very important for all athletes and has now become part of the daily routine, making it extremely important for our players during the rigours of a long season. Partnering with PROTEC will allow us to develop our recovery processes through their technology and ensure that our players have the best possibly tools to help them succeed.

Our first-team squad will be using a range of PROTEC’s products, including the Proboots, the Procharge Tremor and the Progun. All these products have been designed using the latest technology and innovation to provide a professional-grade recovery.

Speaking on the new partnership, General Manager Niall Curneen said, “We are always glad when the opportunity comes along to partner with a local company doing great things.

“PROTEC came to us to tell us their story and how their products could help to aid and benefit our players recovery and we were impressed by the innovation and technology that we have seen in the products so far. We believe that this partnership will help us take another step towards that higher level that we are always striving towards, both on and off the pitch.”

The club’s Head of Performance, Stuart McCammon added: “It’s great to have the PROTEC Recovery equipment to use for our players. We aim to be the top team in Ireland in this area and recovery is key for all elite athletes.

“Any edge we can get to help the lads with their training and recovery helps us move closer to our goals as a team.”

Barry Grant, the Founder of PROTEC, had this to say about the partnership with the club: “Larne FC has been making massive strides in all areas over the last three years and it is a pleasure to partner with the club for this season.

“I believe Larne are on a steep upward trajectory and this relationship is the first of its kind for a football club in Ireland. Players and staff now have access to state-of-the-art technology devices to assist with training and recovery, which will help the club to continue to push boundaries in all areas of performance.

“Credit must go to Niall and Stuart, whose values of innovation and determination align perfectly with our own here at PROTEC. I’m really excited to see how this partnership matured and develops over the coming season and beyond.”
