GOALS in either half from Matty Lusty and Tiarnan O’Connor ensured Larne made it through to the Clearer Water Irish Cup quarter-finals away to Warrenpoint on Saturday.
With less than four minutes on the clock Aaron Donnelly swept a great diagonal pass into the path of Tomas Cosgrove and he squared for Matty Lusty to bravely bundle home the opener.
Tiernan O’Connor then helped to finish the game as a contest with 18 minutes left, as he came off to the bench to fire home a free-kick to wrap up the 2-0.win at Milltown.
Larne will travel to the winners of Glentoran and Drumaness Mills in the last eight, on the first weekend in March.
