The Scottish shot-stopper joined from Queen of the South in his homeland in 2021 and has been a calming, reassuring presence between the sticks ever since. Ferguson conceded the fewest goals in the league last season and was a huge contributing factor in the Inver Reds’ first Gibson Cup.
He has become a fan favourite and a safe pair of hands. Ferguson was rewarded with a new contract this summer as he has signed on at Inver Park until 2026. The former Linfield and Motherwell man will be in the number 1 shirt on the East Antrim Coast for the foreseeable.
Incidentally, Ferguson also made his Larne debut in a European competition. He started with a clean sheet in a 1-0 away win over Bala Town, the first European game in Larne’s history.
The 23-year-old ex-Motherwell keeper kept 3 clean sheets during Larne’s Europa Conference League campaign. He kept a clean sheet and assisted Mark Randall’s winner against Pacos de Ferreira at Inver Park.
