Larne’s incredible run in the County Antrim Shield has come to an end after losing this season’s decider on penalties to Glentoran.
The Invermen proudly held the trophy for four seasons in a row, but have finally relinquished it after this game ended 1-1 in 90 minutes, with the Glens winning 5-4 in the shoot-out.
Charlie Lindsay came off the bench to fire in a spectacular opening goal for Glentoran 10 minutes from time, but Andy Ryan converted from the spot just six mintues later, having been fouled inside the box.
The East Belfast side scored all five of their penalties as they left Seaview with the trophy.
