We are delighted to announce that Aimee-Lee Peachey has joined the club on a permanent transfer from Linfield Women.
Naturally a defensive midfielder, Peachey arrives at Inver Park ahead of the 2024 Sports Direct Women’s Premiership campaign and will wear the number six shirt for the duration of the campaign.
No stranger to the top-flight of Northern Ireland’s domestic game, the 22-year-old has amassed almost 50 NIFL Premiership appearances to date. Starting out in East Belfast, Peachey made her senior debut for Glentoran Women in 2020.
Following 23 league appearances for The Glens, the talented midfielder made the move to Crusaders Strikers, making a further 17 league appearances in a season which ended in a third-place finish.
Last season, Peachey made eight league appearances for Linfield Women, who finished in fifth place in the ever-competitive Women’s Premiership.
Commenting on the latest recruit to arrive at Inver Park, Head of Recruitment William Noble said:
“Our latest signing represents a player who will be able to strengthen our first team squad immediately going into the 2024 season, while also having plenty of room to develop and improve during her time at Inver Park.
“Alongside her obvious quality, Aimee-Lee’s profile is a perfect fit for the type of player we are keen to bring into our first team squad ahead of the upcoming season. While still young in age, Aimee-Lee has plenty of top-flight experience from her time at Glentoran, Crusaders and Linfield.
“Not only does she have games under her belt at this level, but as a player she has experienced being in dressing rooms with a real winning mentality and I believe Aimee-Lee will bring this with her to the club, which will no doubt add to the winners that we already boast amongst our existing group of players.”
