We are delighted to announce Paul O’Neill has signed a new contract at the club, keeping him at Inver Park until at least the summer of 2026.
The former Northern Ireland under-21 international, who arrived at Inver Park in July 2022 from Cliftonville, is extending his stay after impressing in his first season and a half.
He joins the likes of Lee Bonis, Andy Ryan, Rohan Ferguson and Tomas Cosgrove in signing extended deals over recent weeks and months.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed an impressive start to this campaign with three goals and three assists his name so far, having picked up a County Antrim Shield winners medal, league title and having feature in the club’s first-ever Champions League campaign during his time at Inver so far.
Manager Tiernan Lynch is delighted to see the player extend his stay.
He said: “Paul has played a big part in the success we’ve had since he came to the club and was able to pick up his first Gibson Cup winners medal at Larne last season.
“We are very fortunate to have a number of top strikers at the club, who drive each other on and compliment those around them.
“He has a fantastic work ethic and a desire to keep improving his game and we look forward to continuing to play our part in helping do that over these next few years.”
The player himself has spoken of his joy at extending his stay in East Antrim.
“I’ve loved every minute since I joined the club so it was a no brainer for me to stay on,” he said.
“There’s a real feel good factor around the place and the club just keeps moving forward. It’s exciting times and I’m glad to be here.
“I just want to thank the fans for pushing me and the team on home and away and long may it continue.”
