O’Neill late penalty wins it at Stangmore

PAUL O’Neill kept his cool to score a stoppage time winner at Stangmore Park, as Larne ran out 3-1 winners over Dungannon Swifts on Saturday.

Mark Randall produced some more free-kick magic just after the half hour mark to break the deadlock and fire Larne into the lead.

However, it was cancelled out with a spectacular equaliser from Steven Scott two minutes before the break.

Larne won it a minute into stoppage time when O’Neill came off the bench to play Matty Lusty through on goal, but he was fouled by goalkeeper Declan Dunne. O’Neill fired home the resulting penalty to ensure Gary Haveron’s men left with all three points and maintained their place at the top of the Premiership table.
