Matchday Guide – Portadown Saturday 6th April

Apr 3, 2019 | Archive

SATURDAY will be one of the biggest days in the recent history of Larne Football Club as we are presented with our first league title in 47 years.

A bumper crowd is expected for the match at home to Portadown, with kick-off at 3pm.

Immediately after the game the Northern Ireland Football League (NIFL) and sponsors Bluefin Sports will be presenting Tiernan Lynch’s Champions with the league trophy.

With the largest crowd of the season anticipated, we would ask that all supporters leave plenty of time to get to Inver Park, park your car and make your way through the turnstiles in order to ease last minute congestion. Turnstiles will be open from 2.15pm and entering the ground as early as possible will ensure you don’t miss kick-off.

Please take a note of the following:

SAFETY

Supporters are reminded that there will be no access to the pitch as the trophy presentation is made. NIFL have confirmed that the presentation will only be made if the pitch is clear of everyone other than players and coaching staff. There will be plenty of opportunities at our final home game of the season against H&W Welders to have your photography taken with the trophy.

FACILITIES

Our Club Shop, complete with the new range of Champions flags and scarves, will be open from 1pm. We are delighted that live music will be provided by the Music Yard in the forecourt from 1.30pm and, as well as the usual stalls in the Fan Zone, there will be an additional hot food stall outside the Wee Bar. There will be plenty to bring you to Inver Park early on the day, so please don’t delay in making your way to the ground

AGNEW LOUNGE

VIP pass holders are asked to note that the Agnew Lounge will unfortunately be closed on Saturday, due to a private function. We apologise for any inconvenience on this, but are keen to stress that there are other provisions at the ground this Saturday.

CAR PARKING

The car park of First Larne Presbyterian Church will be open from 2pm and you can park there for a small donation to charity There are also a number of car parks in the town, including Riverdale, within a short walk of the ground. We would urge all supporters who will be making their way to Inver Park by car to park their vehicles legally, without causing an obstruction and with consideration for our neighbours. Please do not block driveways or obstruct nearby residential properties.

ADMISSION & OPENING TIMES

Please note that tickets are not required for this game. As with every league game, Season Tickets and passes are valid. Everyone else can pay at the turnstiles and  admission will be charged at £8 for adults and £5 for concessions. Turnstiles will be open from 2.15pm.

AWAY SUPPORTERS

Portadown fans are reminded that they will be accommodated in the Church End terrace of the ground, as they were for the fixture between the two clubs in September. Facilities will be provided for away fans on the day and tickets are for sale from Portadown Football Club. Any queries about the sale of away tickets should be directed to Portadown.
