Matchday Guide: Larne v Ballymena Utd, Sat 2nd Jan

Dec 29, 2020 | Archive

The Inver Reds return to league action this weekend, seeking to begin 2021 with a victory over rivals Ballymena United. The fixture will take place at Inver Park on Saturday 2nd January, with 3pm kick-off. We would like to thank Inver Red & Whites Supporters Club and Roy Logan for sponsoring the game.

INVER PARK CLOSED

This weekend’s Shanes Hill derby will be played behind closed doors, as a result of new restrictions imposed by the Northern Ireland Executive. Following this announcement, Larne Football Club announced that Inver Park was closed to the General Public to ensure the maximum safety of our staff during the current climate.

Due to these restrictions, supporters are asked to avoid the stadium area on matchday, as admission will be prohibited throughout the day.

LIVE STREAMING

Our media team will once again be providing a live stream of the game, which can be purchased for just £7.50 by clicking the following link: 247.tv/niprem.

Season Ticket holders can access a free stream as normal, which can be done by simply logging into the previously used account on the 247 website.

Supporters are advised that as Saturday’s production is an online stream rather than a live broadcast, each account holder should leave time before the match to ensure WiFi connection is strong and to test their device capabilities on the 247 website. The service is designed to work on most devices, but to ensure maximum quality, we recommend using a computer/laptop with the most up to date version of Google Chrome/Firefox.

If you experience technical issues during the game, please contact livesupport@247.tv.

CLUB SHOP

The Club Shop at Inver Park will also be closed as part of our ongoing COVID-19 protocols. However, our online superstore remains open and can be accessed at www.larnefc.com/shop. In stock we have Nike merchandise, 1889 casual wear and much more!

THE OPPOSITION

David Jeffrey’s Sky Blues will come to Inver Park keen to avenge our 2-0 victory earlier in the season. Ballymena currently sit fourth in the Danske Bank Premiership and are enjoying a much improved season to date, having drawn with Glentoran in their last outing.

Last week, the Braidmen announced the signing of former Larne player Sean Graham, who could be in line to make a debut at the weekend, subject to registration procedures.
