Matchday Guide: Larne v Bala Town, Thursday 15th July

It’s set to be an historic night at Inver Park plays host to a European tie for the very first time. The Inver Reds host Bala Town in the UEFA Europa Conference League First Qualifying Round 2nd leg, with kick off at 7.30pm.

Entry & Parking  

Home supporters will have access to the main stand and the McKay stand.  For the first time, the new Church End Stand will be operation and playing host to home supporters. All supporters MUST wear a face mask at all times within the stadium and adhere to the COVID-19 safety guidelines.

As per UEFA guidelines, no away supporters will be in attendance at this fixture.

Parking facilities will be available at Riverdale Car Park, Laharna Retail Park and First Larne Presbyterian Church, all of which are a short walk to Inver Park. No parking facilities will be available within the stadium itself.

Grab a Jab

The Northern Health and Social Care Trust will have a mobile vaccination team in St Cedmas Church on Thursday night from 5-8pm to administer COVID-19 vaccinations for anyone over the age of 18 who hasn’t got theirs yet.

There is no need to book an appointment for the service, simply, bring your ID (Passport, Driving Licence etc), get jabbed and go! You will then just be required to return to the area in six weeks to receive your second dose. 

1889 Sports and Social Club 

The 1889 club will be open during the game. However, due to UEFA guidelines and strict rules regarding entry to the stadium, only those in possession of a match ticket will be permitted entry and this will be strictly managed by stewards.

Match Programme

A special 48-page edition of our Matchday Programme will be available to purchase at Inver Park. Our first ever European Programme will be available for just £4 and will include match previews from both Tiernan Lynch and Gareth Clements, words from the captain, an interview with David McDaid, a John Herron poster and much, much more! A great souvenir to mark an historic night for the club.

The Opposition  

With the first leg taking place just a week ago, Bala Town – who arrived in the country on Wednesday before training at Inver Park – will come to Inver Park aiming to overturn the 1-0 deficit.

The Inver Reds 

The Invermen secured a win in their first ever European game last Thursday in the 1st leg and will come into the game with the ambition of getting through to the next round. With debutants Kofi Balmer and Cian Bolger putting in a solid display, as well as Rohan Ferguson keeping a clean sheet on his first appearance, confidence will be high among the squad as they aim to finish off the job.
