MATCH PREVIEW

The Inver Women will hope to put on a good performance in what has been a busy second season in the top-flight. With the addition of Phil McNamara as head coach, and several signings in the transfer window in Rhianna Brady, Sophie O’Rawe, Chelsea Irvine, Olivia Canavan, Meghan Ingram and Holly Otter, the depth of the squad has certainly seen an increase in recent months.

With their last game on the road at Stangmore park seeing them take three points back to Larne with a 4-2 win against Mid Ulster Ladies, the Inver Reds will be hoping to continue on a good run of form, against a much-improved Derry City side.

The sides have met on four occasions over the last two seasons. With a draw this season and a loss in the preliminary round of the VBET Women’s Premiership League Cup, the Inver Women will be keen to try and secure a victory against tonight’s opponents for the first time this campaign. Larne won one of the two meetings last season, picking up all three points at The Bradywell.
Friday’s opposition currently sit fifth in the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership standings. After picking up back-to-back wins against Crusaders and Mid Ulster, Derry’s last game seen them fall to a 3-0 defeat to Cliftonville.
