Tiernan Lynch’s side make their return to Inver Park this afternoon, facing Cymru Premier side Bala Town at 3pm as our European and season preparations continue.
Entry for the game is £10 for adults, £5 for concessions and £2 for children under the age of 11. Tickets can be purchased on the Fanbase app or at larnefc.com/tickets, whilst a pay at the gate option will also be available at the stadium.
THE INVER REDS
Following on from last weekend’s 1-1 draw in Stranraer, the Inver Reds will once again be looking to get more minutes under their belts with a mixture of first team regulars and exciting prospects expected to be part of the matchday squad.
Supporters could get a look at returning players Conor McKendry, Matty Lusty, Sean Brown and Oisin Devlin, alongside academy prospects such as James Simpson and Logan Wallace who impressed in Scotland during their last outing.
The game will act as Tiernan Lynch’s final pre-season fixture before competitive action returns in the form of the NIFL Charity Shield next Friday (5th July) and the UEFA Champions League thereafter.
THE OPPOSITION – BALA TOWN
Bala Town make the trip to Northern Ireland this weekend as part of their own preparations for European football. The Welsh outfit are set to take part in this season’s UEFA Europa Conference League and have been drawn against Estonian side Paide in the first qualifying round.
Today’s opposition will forever have their name in the history books at Inver Park, having been the first side we faced in a European competition back in 2021 which kick started a memorable run by Tiernan Lynch and his players.
In more recent times, Bala have remained regulars in the upper end of the Cymru Premier standings – finishing third last season. Forward George Newell could be one for Larne fans to watch during the game, having scored 12 league goals last season to accompany experience playing in the EFL Championship (Bolton Wanderers) and Scottish Premier League (Motherwell).
