We are delighted to announce that Logan Graham has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The 18-year-old centre-back, who is a Larne native, first got involved in the club’s academy in 2010 at just four years old.
From there, Logan would spend the next seven years developing through the age groups before making the move to our Club Partners Greenisland FC in 2017. After a successful spell spanning three years, Logan made the move to Glentoran in 2020 where he was also enrolled on the Irish FA’s JD Academy. Upon graduating from the Irish FA’s JD Academy in 2023, Logan made the move back to his hometown club, joining the club’s Scholarship Programme.
In 2024, Logan played a key role at the heart of the defence as our U18 side won the Harry Cavan Youth Cup for just the second time in the club’s history, with the young defender speaking of his pride in winning a trophy at his hometown and boyhood club.
Becoming a mainstay for both of NIFL U18 and U20 squads, Logan celebrated more success just a few weeks ago as our U18 side were crowned NIFL Academy League champions, earning them qualification for the UEFA Youth League this summer.
Speaking on signing his first professional contract, Logan said:
“It’s a proud moment to sign my first professional contract and it feels a bit more special that it is with my hometown club.
“When I first joined the academy all of those years ago, it’s something that you dream about but to have it happen, it’s just a really great feeling for both me and my family.
“Now that it is signed, I’m excited to get back in for pre-season and be in and around everyone again. I can’t wait to challenge and push myself again the rest of the first-team squad to see what I can learn from them on a daily basis.
“Hopefully I’ll be able to impress and be apart of some first-team squads throughout the campaign.”
Head of Scholarship Keith O’Hara was delighted to see another player complete the pathway, he said:
“It’s fantastic to see another young player complete the pathway from the Scholarship Programme to the first-team.
“For Logan, it’s very much deserved. The effort and commitment that he has shown since joining the Scholarship Programme has led to this reward today and I’m so pleased to see him get this opportunity.
“As Logan will know himself, this is where the hard work will start but I’m excited to see how he continues his development as he looks to impress within the senior setup under Nathan.”
