The club currently has seven players out on loan at clubs across the NIFL Premiership, Championship and Premier Intermediate Leagues. Take a read at the article below to see how they are getting on.
Josh Kee
Josh Kee will spend the season on loan at fellow Sports Direct Premiership side Glenavon to gain more top-flight experience.
The midfielder has featured in four games for Paddy McLaughlin’s side so far, three in the Sports Direct Premiership and one in the Mid Ulster Cup.
Having joined late in August, Josh has made appearances in the three Sports Direct Premiership games he’s been eligible for so far, starting twice against Dungannon Swifts and Linfield, while featuring from the bench against Cliftonville.
In the Mid Ulster Cup, Josh completed 78 minutes against Coagh United as Glenavon progressed to the next round with a 4-0 victory.
With the Lurgan Blues still searching for their first league point of the campaign, Josh will be hoping to play a key role in the side as they look to return to form and climb the table.
Oisin Devlin
Oisin Devlin is spending the season on loan at fellow Sports Direct Premiership side Bangor FC with the aim of getting more first-team minutes under his belt.
The midfielder joined the Seasiders late in August and has been in the thick of the action since, featuring across the Sports Direct Premiership and the Co. Antrim Shield.
Oisin made his debut just two days after joining, coming off the bench in Bangor’s 2-1 victory over Dungannon Swifts at Clandeboye Park.
Since then, Oisin has made two further starts, one in the 3-0 defeat in the Co. Antrim Shield against Carrick Rangers and one in the impressive 4-1 victory at Shamrock Park against Portadown in the Sports Direct Premiership.
With the Seasiders currently occupying 8th place in the standings, Oisin will be aiming to continue impressing in the middle of the park as they look to build on their strong start to the campaign.
Ambrose Ajala and Daniel Collett
Both Ambrose Ajala and Daniel Collett are on loan at NIFL Championship side Queen’s University as they look to gain valuable first-team experience following their time on the club’s Scholarship Programme.
Ambrose joined the NIFL Championship outfit at the end of July and has proven to be a key player for the side, making an appearance in all eight league games so far, starting in all but one of the games.
As a striker, Ambrose has delivered early on in the campaign. The young striker got his first goal for the club in his second appearance, scoring in a 3-1 win away to Dundela. His second goal didn’t take long to follow, with Ambrose scoring the following week in a 2-0 victory over Warrenpoint Town.
Ambrose has added another two to his tally in his last two games, scoring in a 3-2 against Ards and a 2-2 draw against Loughgall, taking his tally so far to four goals for the campaign.
Daniel Collett, the young goalkeeper who recently signed his first professional contract with the Invermen, has yet to make an appearance for the NIFL Championship side due to injury after suffering a broken finger.
After eight games played so far, Queen’s currently sit 6th in the NIFL Championship table.
Jack Hastings
Jack Hastings joined NIFL Championship side Armagh City on loan on deadline day as he looks to get more first-team experience under his belt.
Just a few days after joining, Jack made his first appearance for Armagh City in a 0-0 draw against Loughgall, coming off the bench.
In his second appearance, Jack came off the bench against Queen’s University in a 1-1 draw as he came up against fellow loanee Ambrose Ajala.
After two appearances from the bench, Jack has gone on to start the last two games for Armagh City in the NIFL Championship, a 4-2 defeat to Newington and a 2-1 defeat to Ards.
With a tough run of form at the start of the campaign, Armagh City currently occupy 11th in the standings, and with Jack still searching for his first goal, the young striker will be keen to help push his side up the table.
Logan Graham and Callum Cowan
Logan Graham and Callum Cowan both joined NIFL Premier Intermediate side Portstewart FC as they seek valuable first-team experience.
Logan was the first to make his debut for the side, starting and completing 90 minutes in Portstewart’s First Preliminary Round tie of the BetMcLean Cup against Moyola Park, losing 5-3.
In the first league game of the season, both players made an appearance from the bench as Callum made his debut for the side in the 1-1 draw against Coagh United.
With only three league games played so far, Callum has gone on to feature in the 1-0 victory over Lisburn Distillery and the 2-0 victory over Strabane Athletic.
Both players have also featured in the North West Cup this season during Portstewart’s 4-3 defeat against NIFL Championship side Limavady United, with both players starting the game.
With five teams tied at the top of the NIFL Premier Intermediate table at this early stage, both players will be keen to help Portstewart continue their strong start to the campaign.
