We are pleased to announce that the club has agreed a deal in principle with MLS side with Real Salt Lake to loan midfielder Jaziel Orozco for the duration of the 2023/24 season.
The 19-year-old, who can play both in midfield and defence, joins from the American top-tier outfit having spent the beginning of the year on loan at Liga MX side Santos Laguna in Mexico.
Born in Mexico, Orozco was raised in the USA and made the move to Salt Lake City in 2020 when he signed for RSL’s affiliate club Real Monarchs. After impressing in the USL Championship, the player signed a homegrown player contract with Real Salt Lake and made his MLS debut in March 2022, going on to make a total of four appearances in the 2021/22 season.
The deal will be confirmed following the player being granted international clearance and the relevant player registration process has been completed. A full announcement will be made in due course.
