Late drama sees Invermen extend lead

AN own goal six minutes into stoppage time at the Oval saw Larne claim a 2-1 win and extend their lead to three points at the top of the Sports Direct Premiership in the process.

Andy Ryan’s well-taken goal gave the visitors the lead after just eight minutes, before Cian Bolger’s own goal restored parity before the hour mark.

Larne had chances in the closing stages through Sean Graham and Ryan, but it took an unfortunate OG from Johnny Russell to secure the points.

Coupled with results elsewhere, Larne go into the final two games of the season with a three point cushion. Next up for Tiernan Lynch’s men is a trip to take on Linfield at Windsor Park. Full details on how you can purchase tickets can be found HERE.
