Larne v Carniny

This was a great end to end match with lots of goals at either end but Larne eventually came out on top. The attacking duo of Amber and Gracie linked up well throughout the match, as did Faith and Sophia who battled hard. There was brilliant passing from Jodie and Maci, the progression the players are making is clear to see.

Player of the match- Niamh (Goalkeeper) for her enthusiasm and determination

Larne 2012s v Ballyclare Comrades

This was a difficult game for the girls who have been in fantastic form recently. Both teams made a slow start in the first third and it was Ballyclare who narrowly took the lead. Ballyclare took a foothold in the second period and capitalised on some mistakes from Larne. In the final third there were some near misses from Ruby and Roxy before Mia lobbed the keeper. The main focus going forward is to work on closing down the opposition.

Players of the match- Roxy Robb and India Wilson

Larne 2013s v Cliftonville

The girls worked well from the start and their only flaw was being exposed at the back and allowing Cliftonville to get shots away.  Larne created plenty of chances but was unable to convert their opportunities whereas Cliftonville was clinical. This was a very good effort from the girls who also had to deal with some knocks throughout the game. There were encouraging signs defensively and they will continue to work on their finishing in front of the goal.

Larne U11s v Ballyclare

Everything seemed to click for the girls in this game as they got their first win at The Valley. They started slowly in the first half and it took 10 minutes for them to get into their stride. The first goal came from Karis who has now scored two weeks in a row. They continued the pressure with Eva, Paisleigh, Isla and Kacey getting on the scoresheet before half-time.

Larne made some changes in the second half but the standard of play remained high. Passing combinations were prioritised and some goals had 5 or 6 passes in the build-up. They got the ball out wide and worked it across the other side of the pitch. It was a brilliant performance all round from the girls.

Player of the match- Karis Aicken

Team of the week- Eva Glenn, Paisleigh Baird and Kacey Clarke
