We are delighted to announce the signing of George Marsh, following the midfielder’s departure from AEL Limassol.
George is a product of the Tottenham Hotspur academy, a club he went on to represent at senior level during his time in North London.
Following a spell on loan at Leyton Orient, George moved to AFC Wimbledon, making more than 60 appearances across two seasons at the Dons.
Last summer, a move to Cyprus materialised before the 25-year-old decided to return to the UK and has put pen to paper at Inver Park to become a Larne player.
“When I decided to come closer to home this season I was really excited when I spoke to the manager and knew this was the best place for me,” George said.
“I’ve joined the club at a good time. I’ve got experience in a few different leagues, especially in the EFL, so hopefully I can use that to help the club have a good season this year.
“I’ve already had a warm welcome and I’ve enjoyed my time here already, so I’m just looking forward to getting started now.”
Boss TIernan Lynch has given the midfielder a warm welcome, in what has been a busy period for the club in the transfer market.
“We feel George will add quality to our squad,” he said.
“He’s coming to us at a good age for a player in his position and with almost 100 appearances in the English Football League we feel he will be well placed to deal with the rigous of Irish League football.”
George will wear the number 15 shirt at Inver Park this season, while Sam Todd has been given number 20 and Josh Seary the number 17 shirt.
