Larne Ladies made it 10 wins from 10 league outings this season after a resounding victory against Portadown.

There also are now potentially one game away from the league title and promotion to the Championship, as they prepare to take on Ballymacash on Monday evening.

The first of seven goals arrived early on when  the Inver Women opened the scoring with Elle Houstoun’s free-kick finding the back of the net.

It was two within minutes, as Morgan Hanna won the ball on the 18-yard line and fired home to double the lead.

The third goal arrived when Elle Houston grabbed her second of the night. Francesca Agnew played a lovely through ball through which Elle slotted into the far post.

Another goal followed in quick succession, when Amanda Morton had the simplest of finishes to make it 4-0 going into the half-time break.

The fifth goal arrived 20 minutes into the second half. Amanda Morton latched on to a long looping ball over the Portadown defence and composed herself to find the back of the net.

Francesca Agnew then won possession in midfield before making an exciting run down the wing and squared for Amanda Morton to finish.

The seventh and final goal came when Rebecca Boyce got on the score sheet with a tap in after Elle Houston squared the it across goal.

The Inver Women are now one just win away from potentially being crowned champions of NIWFA Division 1.
