THREE goals for the visitors in the opening half hour saw Shamrock Rovers run out comfortable winners at the National Stadium.
Josh Honohan got the goalscoring underway after just three minutes when he finished off good work from Graham Burke.
Two goals in six minutes from Johnny Kenny and Tomas Cosgrove’s OG made it 3-0 by the half hour mark.
Larne began the second half strongly and got off the mark on 48 minutes, thanks to Chris Gallagher’s strike from the edge of the box.
However, any thoughts of a comeback were snuffed out just five minutes later when a loose pass was pounced upon and Burke got the goal he deserved with an inch-perfrect finish from the edge fo the box.
