Larne Adult Centre go behind the scenes at Inver

We were delighted to welcome Larne Adult Centre to Inver Park last Friday to watch an open training session and meet the first team squad.

After watching the teams being put through their paces on the pitch, our guests were taken up to the Agnew Lounge where they enjoyed some light refreshments.

Following this, Tiernan Lynch’s players were on hand to meet those from the Centre, chatting, posing for photographs and signing footballs which were then taken home as a souvenir of the day out.

Speaking on the visit to Inver Park, the Centre’s Linda Montgomery said: “Larne Adult Centre’s love for our community has opened up many opportunities to contribute and participate in local activities and events.

“When we learned that we had been invited to visit Larne Football Club, to watch a training session and meet and greet the team our excitement was palpable.

“There was some “buzz” building up to the outing and when we returned.

“It far surpassed our expectations, we felt valued by Larne Football Club as each of the team took time out of their busy training session to introduce themselves, have a chat and sign each and every football that our folk were presented with, twelve of them in total.

“We want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for the warm welcome we received.

“Building relationships with, and inclusion in, our local community is what we strive for every day, and we certainly feel these were achieved during our visit to Inver Park.

“We hope that we can return the invite and the warm welcome in the near future.”

The club would like to thank the Larne Adult Centre for visiting Inver Park and making it such an enjoyable day for all. We hope that this can be the start of a growing relationship between ourselves and the Centre.
