The Opposition

Crusaders are two points behind Larne in the table, but have two games in hand over the Invermen. It makes Saturday’s encounter an important one as clubs begin to jostle for important league positions in the final straight of the season. Stephen Baxter’s side were due to take on Ballymena United in midweek, but it was called off in line with NIFL’s covid policy, meaning their last outing was a 1-0 Irish Cup win away to Ballinamallard last weekend.

The Inver Reds

Larne put in a strong midweek performance in midweek at Windsor Park, but left empty-handed after a 2-1 defeat. It brought to an end Larne’s three-game winning streak. There have been two meetings between Larne and Crusaders with a win apiece so far.
