The Opposition

Ballymena United have beaten Loughgall and Portstewart en route to the last eight of the Irish Cup. The most recent Irish Cup meeting between the sides came in 2018, also in the quarter-finals, where Larne came from a goal down to win 2-1. United. David Jeffrey’s men boast an unbeaten home record since the start of 2022, something Larne must overturn if they are to make the last four.

The Inver Reds

Larne come into this game in good form, having won two and drawn one of their last three league games. Victories away to Bangor and home to Linfield have brought Tiernan Lynch’s men to the quarter-final stages. Having made last year’s decider Larne will be keen to repeat the feat for this year’s competition.
