More than 2,500 home supporters are set to descend on Inver Park for this Saturday’s final game of the Sports Direct Premiership season against Coleraine, where anything other than a 17-goal swing in Linfield’s favour will see Larne crowned as champions for the second successive campaign.
With the game due to sell out sooner rather than later, a full day of pre and post-match entertainment has been planned for supporters to enjoy at Inver Park, with full details available below.
1889 Sports & Social Club & Bar Facilities
Opening at 12pm for those first to arrive at Inver Park on matchday, the 1889 Club will be showing the televised early kick-off in the English Premier League as West Ham face Liverpool at 12.30pm.
As the atmosphere builds throughout day, our first live act will perform inside the bar at 3.30pm, with Colin Graham playing an acoustic set until kick-off. Following the game, DJ Ging (Alan Hall) will be providing the tunes from 7.30pm until late.
Demand is expected to be high for bar facilities throughout the day. Supporters are reminded that they can use our Fanzone Bar out the back of the 1889 Club and those with tickets for the Church End will be able to avail of the bar in this area of the stadium pre-match.
In order to ensure your drinks flow at a steady rate, there will be an additional pop-up bar in the main car park. The Church End bar will also remain open for one hour post-match.
Family Entertainment
Kicking off at 3.30pm in the main car park, we will have a host of walkaround entertainment acts designed to entertain the younger Inver Reds attending the game.
We’ll be welcoming some special guests to Inver pre-match, as Superman, Wonder Woman and Captain America will be in attendance providing photo opportunities before kick-off.
Joining the three superheroes will be the hugely popular FizzWizzPop, a British Champion magician and children’s entertainer who will be on hand to blow your mind with her walkabout performance in the main car park.
Last but not least, popular NI football freestyler Sam Madden will be in attendance to show off his skills in and around the stadium in the lead up to the game.
Also in the main car park area will be our face painting stall, an inflatable penalty shoot-out station and two foosball stations to ensure that everyone is kept entertained right up until 5.30pm.
Half-Time Entertainment
Whilst all bars and food outlets will be available during the half-time interval, there will also be plenty of activity on the pitch during the 15-minute break.
Our 2017 and 2018 academy squads will be taking part in small-sided games, whilst some of our trophy winning academy sides will parade their silverware around the pitch – led by the Harry Cavan Youth Cup winning squad.
As the academy parade heads around the perimeter of the pitch, U20 Head Coach Keith O’Hara and a Harry Cavan Youth Cup winning player will join Joel Neill on the mic for an interview on this season’s historic achievement.
Club Superstore
The club superstore will also be open from 3.30pm for supporters to pick-up some of the remaining merchandise on sale. The store will be running a 25% off sale on 2023/24 replica shirts, selected Nike merchandise and selected miscellaneous items.
Also on sale will be a new range of mugs, coasters, and clothing, including more new items from our ever-popular 1889 range.
The Big C Foundation
Throughout the day, supporters will have the opportunity to support a fantastic local charity, the Big C Foundation.
The charity, inspired by the late Callum Rennie and run by his family, aims to raise funds for charities which supported Callum during his cancer battle and for other children living with cancer throughout Northern Ireland.
Supporters will be able to give donations in the main car park area upon entry into the stadium and will be able to hear from the charity via a pitchside interview before the game.
Match Preview
Tiernan Lynch’s side took another important step towards retaining the Sports Direct Premiership title with a 1-1 draw at Windsor Park on Monday night, which means that the team will go into the final game of the season with a three-point lead and significant advantage in goal difference.
The Invermen will be without Tomás Cosgrove, Lee Bonis and Rohan Ferguson for the game, with all three missing out with suspension. Aidan McAdams is set to make his league debut in goal and Sean Graham also returns from suspension.
