OUR OPPOSITION

The Welders come into tomorrow’s Irish Cup game sitting 5th in the NIFL Championship table.

Paul Kee’s side are on a strong run of form, unbeaten in their last four games with four wins and a draw as they look to cause an upset at Blanchflower Stadium tomorrow.

Both sides met in the Irish Cup last season at the Quarter-Final stage, with Andy Ryan scoring a late winner to send Tiernan Lynch’s side through to the Semi-Final.

THE INVER REDS

Tiernan Lynch’s men go in to tomorrow’s game after a 1-1 draw in the top of the table clash with Linfield at the end of last year.

The Invermen are unbeaten in the Sports Direct Premiership since September and will be looking to continue that form into the Irish Cup campaign, starting tomorrow afternoon.

The Inver Reds took on Crumlin United at this stage of the competition last season, running out 3-0 winners at Inver Park to progress to the next round.

UPCOMING GAMES

After tomorrow’s game, attention will turn back to the Sports Direct Premiership for Tiernan Lynch’s side as they travel to Seaview to take on Crusaders next Friday night.

The Invermen face a further trip on the road against Dungannon Swifts in the league before heading to Seaview again to take on Glentoran in the Co. Antrim Shield Final. To end the month, Tiernan Lynch’s side will welcome Newry City to Inver Park on Friday 26th January.
