OUR OPPOSITION
Coleraine come into today’s game after back-to-back wins in the Sports Direct Premiership over Newry City and Linfield.
The Bannsiders are looking to confirm 6th spot in the standings ahead of the split and will be determined to pick up all three points today to stay ahead of Carrick Rangers and Loughgall in that race.
Matthew Shevlin has scored in his last two games and the Invermen will need to be wary of the threat that the Coleraine attack carries with Conor McKendry and Jamie McGonigle also finding the back of the net in recent weeks.
THE INVER REDS
The Invermen are in fine form at the moment, unbeaten in the league since September and sitting top of the Sports Direct Premiership standings.
Tiernan Lynch’s side are yet to concede a goal in league action during 2024 and know that all three points this afternoon would give them a four point lead at the top of the table.
The two sides last met at Inver Park back in November where goals from Joe Thomson and Leroy Millar secured a 2-0 victory for the Inver Reds.
UPCOMING GAMES
After tomorrow’s game, Tiernan Lynch’s men are back in action on Saturday 16th March as they welcome Glenavon to Inver Park.
After that, the Invermen have a break until a huge Irish Cup semi-final against Cliftonville at Windsor Park on Saturday 30th March.
