OUR OPPOSITION

Coleraine come into the game having tasted their first defeat of the season on Tuesday night, as they lost 2-0 to Carrick Rangers at Taylors Avenue. The Bannsiders have six points to their name so far after wins against Ballymena United and Loughgall.

Oran Kearney’s side will have to cope without Jamie Glackin in midfield after he was dismissed in Tuesday’s game following two yellow cards.

A host of former Larne players will take on their former employers with Dean Jarvis, Conor McKendry, Lee Lynch, David McDaid, Graham Kelly and Andy Scott all available for the Bannsiders.

It remains to be seen if last season’s top goalscorer Matthew Shevlin returns from injury in time for Saturday’s match, after missing Tuesday’s defeat to Carrick Rangers.

THE INVER REDS

After a 3-0 mid-week derby victory over Ballymena United, the Inver Reds will come into the game looking for their third victory in a row.

Andy Ryan and Lee Bonis will be looking to continue their strong start to the season with 13 goal contributions between them since competitive action began back in July.

Tuesday’s victory saw the Invermen keep their first clean sheet of the season and that will be something that Tiernan Lynch and his coaching staff will be looking to build on as they push on with their defence of the Gibson Cup.

Mark Randall is back in training; however, it remains to be seen if the midfielder is match fit as of yet. Cian Bolger and Aaron Donnelly have yet to return to pitch sessions after their recent injuries, however both have been completing gym sessions to step up their recovery. Thomas Maguire will be looking to push on in his recovery after featuring on the bench in Tuesday’s victory over Ballymena United. Jaziel Orozco is still awaiting international clearance before being able to make his debut for Tiernan Lynch’s side.

UPCOMING GAMES

After a busy start to the season, the Inver Reds have a week to prepare for a visit to Solitude next Saturday.

Tiernan Lynch’s side are back at Inver Park on Saturday 2nd September as we welcome Newry City in the Sports Direct Premiership.
