It’s derby time as the Invermen make the short trip to Carrick Rangers for Saturday’s Danske Bank Premiership encounter. Take a look below for all you need to know ahead of travelling to Taylor’s Avenue.
TICKETS AND TRAVEL
Tickets are on sale for fans HERE. Entry is priced at £12 for adults and £8 for concessions. There will also be a cash gate at the ground. Please note this match is segregated and Larne fans should enter through the normal away turnstiles beside the Leisure Centre.
Please check the Facebook page of each Supporters’ Club for the most up-to-date travel information.
1889 SPORTS & SOCIAL CLUB
The 1889 will be open from 12noon for all supporters who want to call in before travelling to the match, with Happy Hour running from 12pm – 1pm. There will also be live entertainment from 7pm, with a Jilted Old Skool Takeover. Tickets are £10 or £5 for those able to produce a ticket for the Carrick v Larne game earlier in the day.
For those unable to make it, all the big games of the night will be shown on the screens in the 1889, including the big rugby and football matches of the day.
Carrick Rangers come into this one in 8th place, level on points with 7th place Ballymena United, with a game in hand. Rangers have been looking up this season and will no doubt be targeting a European play-off spot as we come into the final furlong.
Manager Stuart King, a former Larne player, this week signed a contract extension to remain as Gers boss. In the two previous meetings between the sides this season, Larne won 1-0 at Taylors Avenue in September, with a Boxing Day stalemate at Inver Park.
THE INVER REDS
Larne are in a good run of form coming into this one, with Tuesday’s victory over Glenavon moving them six points clear at the top of the table with nine games remaining.
Andy Ryan is in fine goalscoring form, with three goals in his last three games. Tiernan Lynch’s men have also keeping it tight at the back with just one league goal conceded in their last eight outings.
