OUR HOSTS

Carrick Rangers come into this one in 8th place, level on points with 7th place Ballymena United, with a game in hand. Rangers have been looking up this season and will no doubt be targeting a European play-off spot as we come into the final furlong.

Manager Stuart King, a former Larne player, this week signed a contract extension to remain as Gers boss. In the two previous meetings between the sides this season, Larne won 1-0 at Taylors Avenue in September, with a Boxing Day stalemate at Inver Park.

THE INVER REDS

Larne are in a good run of form coming into this one, with Tuesday’s victory over Glenavon moving them six points clear at the top of the table with nine games remaining.

Andy Ryan is in fine goalscoring form, with three goals in his last three games. Tiernan Lynch’s men have also keeping it tight at the back with just one league goal conceded in their last eight outings.
