OUR OPPOSITION

Ballymena United currently occupy 11th place in the Sports Direct Premiership standings ahead of today’s Shanes Hill derby.

The Sky Blues are still in search of their first league victory of 2024 and will be hoping to upset the odds against Tiernan Lynch’s league leaders.

The two sides last met back in December at the Ballymena Showgrounds in a game that finished 0-0 with neither side able to find the advantage to take all three points.

THE INVER REDS

The Invermen are in fine form at the moment, currently on a 19 game unbeaten run in the league and sitting top of the Sports Direct Premiership standings.

Tiernan Lynch’s side are yet to concede a goal in league action during 2024 and that is something that they will be looking to continue this afternoon.

The Inver Reds will be hoping to pick up all three points in the Shanes Hill derby today, with one victory and one draw against Ballymena United so far this season.

UPCOMING GAMES

After today’s game, Tiernan Lynch’s men are back in action on Friday 23rd February as they welcome Glentoran to Inver Park.

At the start of March, the Clearer Water Irish Cup takes over as the Invermen take on Newington FC at Inver Park in the quarter-final of the competition.
