Annagh United

Ciaran McGurgan’s side have enjoyed an impressive start to their Championship campaign, currently sitting in second place, three points behind Loughgall. Among their squad is former Larne defender Paul Finnegan, currently on loan from Portadown. They are on course to emulate last season, when they also finished in second place, narrowly losing to neighbours Portadown in the relegation/promotion play-off.

They will come into this game with confidence, with back-to-back victories against Dundela and H&W Welders, with McGurgan’s side booking their place at this stage of the competition after a 4-0 win away to Bangor in September.

The Inver Reds

Larne’s own fine start to the season means this clash will see second in the Championship take on second in the Premiership. The Invermen ran out 5-1 winners against Lisburn Distillery in the previous round, which is one of five games in a row Tiernan Lynch’s side have won coming into this game.

The Inver boss has made significant changes to his squad in the cup games this term, but it remains to be seen whether he will do this once more. Matty Lusty comes into this game as the competition’s top goalscorer, having bagged a hat-trick against Distillery in the previous round.
