Larne Ladies made it through to the quarter-finals of County Antrim Women’s Cup in some style, with a resounding victory over Dromara Village Ladies at Inver Park.

Hannah Robinson made it a birthday to remember with four goals on the night, while Hannah Massey – an Academy graduate at the club – scored her first senior goal for William Noble’s side.

An unfortunate early own goal gave Larne an early lead and it was soon doubled when Morgan Hannah beat two defenders on the edge of the box before firing past the Dromora goalkeeper.

With 10 minutes gone, it was three. Morgan Hannah was again involved as her initial shot hit the post but just as the goalkeeper was about to get to the ball, Hannah Robinson tapped home for her first of the night.

It was soon 4-0, as Francesca Agnew darted through the Dromora defence and slotted in a low shot, the effort giving the visiting ‘keeper no chance. The fifth goal then arrived on the 30 minute mark, with Agnew breaking the Dromora defence and racing through before cutting back for Robinson to finish.

The final act of the half brought the sixth goal, when Jenny Montgomery won the ball on the edge of the box and fired past the goalkeeper.

Hannah Massey, a half-time substitute, then scored her first ever goal for the Inver Women as she cruised past the Dromora defence and found the back of the net.

Hannah Robinson completed her hat-trick, as the home side made it eight, slotting the ball past the keeper. The same player then completed her own scoring action of the night, taking the ball on the cutback from Francesca Agnew to finish at the second time of asking.

The match’s goalscoring action was completed by another from Francesca Agnew, with  Jodi McCourt rounding things off.

Hannah Robinson was selected as Player of the Game, after completing the four-goal haul.
