Kids To Get Active For World Health Day

Apr 5, 2019 | Archive

LARNE Football Club will be celebrating World Health Day this weekend by hosting a range of activities at Inver Park in an attempt to encourage local children to get active by participating in a number of sports.

On Sunday morning, Larne Youth, Larne Rugby Club and Shane O’Neills GAC will take to our new artificial surface to take part in a ‘Game of 3 Halves’ introductory session, with the aim of hosting a full programme in the Summer. ‘Game of 3 Halves’ is a cross community programme which encourages young people to try a range of different sports in mixed groups in a 1 hour-long action-packed session.

At 2pm, our Larne Ladies side will host Cliftonville as they seek to continue their preparations ahead of the new season. Much like our men’s team, the backing from the #RAWA can make all the difference and all support will be welcome as the season draws near.

Joining us at Inver Park to celebrate World Health Day will be James Cooper and his Sky Sports team. We look forward to showing our community in a positive light during what should be a fantastic weekend for everyone in our town.
