We are very pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Joe Besant.
The 21-year-old arrives at Inver Park following a spell in Portugal, where he spent time at National, Mafra and most recently second tier side Alverca.
Joe began his career in the Bournemouth Academy, learning his trade on the south coast before making the move to Portugal for two years.
The English shotstopper has now joined up with his new teammates at Inver Park, bolstering TIernan Lynch’s squad for their domestic and European campaigns.
“I’m very excited to be here and you can see this is a club on the up,” Joe said.
“The infrastructure is always improving, the club is well run and you can see what the team is achieving.
“Every goalkeeper wants to fight for that number one shirt, but you also need that good environment to train with everyone and I think we have that here.”
Boss Tiernan Lynch is pleased to make this latest addition to his group of senior players.
He said: “We’re always on the lookout to make every department of the squad even stronger and Joe arrives to help us do that with the goalkeepers.
“It’s no secret that we have a busy schedule ahead of us, in the next few months especially, so growing the squad is important for us.”
